New member here from Michigan Just wanted to say hello and thanks for the detailed write ups... especially on how to retain the DIC when installing an aftermarket head unit. The write up worked flawlessly and was even nicer because I have the Pioneer AVIC f900BT. Thanks again and hopefully soon I will get a chance to contribute any ideas I come across. Here's a few pics of my new 2006 Light Platinum CTS... And only 23,000 miles on her. Also threw in a couple of the headunit installed.

I followed mjs0202's write up and the couple links within the thread and it worked flawlessly. Just search "retain, dic, avic f700bt" and it's in the first page of results. I would just post the link to it for you but being a new member, I'm apparently not permitted to post links. Sorry. Good luck if you decide to do it.
I want to do a bit more sanding to get rid of a couple marks in the cut out outline but I'm going to wait until I can sell my radio to buy the new Alpine INA-W900 because I don't want to take it back out just for that. lol
