04 CTS mp3 playback?

Hi,
I'm selling my 97 Deville and buying an 04 CTS this Wednesday. I'm trying to find out if the Bose 6 cd changer plays MP3 discs or not. I realize I could wait to find out when I pick up the car, but I'm curious now.

yes it will play MP3 discs...

what!!! are you serious? ive got a 03 with Bose and have never tried...

update:
ok just checksed and my 03 lux sport with bose will not play mp3.... it will show track 1 and start playing with no sound, i tried to change tracks and it just went back to 00:00 then counted back up...it stayed on track 1.

if someone else gets this to work ide like to know... mine is the 6 disk bose

i have the non bose and it works...and my friend (who dont want to join our great forum) has the Bose system and his works with the same MP3 i can play in mine...

what type of MP3 disc are you using?

MAXELL CD-RW

isnt the 04+ a dvd based system for the Nav?

maybe the 03 gets the obd2 reader and 04+ gets mp3

the 03 has the CD nav and I think they changed it to the DVD nav in the 04+ models.

ok so then maybe all 03 decks are different from all 04+

or maybe mine has a setting issue or is broken

anyone else with a 03 bose give this a try?

ok...well what kind of cd's are you using then? mine workes on the jvc deck in my truck, maybe there is something wrong with my cts stock bose

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm happy that the cd player will play mp3 discs since it doesn't have an aux input jack for my iPhone. I'm super excited to pick up the CTS on Wednesday. It's the fully loaded sport package with leather and everything. It's so sweet!
