Thanks man. My main concern was the manumatic, since I had heard that it was a more problematic transmission due to that and also that shifting with it didn't compare at all to a regular manual and it was basically a regular automatic. Appreciate your answer.

Finally got my new wheels from wheel pros and got a chance to put them on and detail the crap out of my baby. What do you guys think of the new wheels? I need to drop it just a touch.

03' CTS Luxury sport edition... 5 speed. New to the threads, seem some awesome cars on here. Has me on Ebay lookin' at V parts and such hahal. ANYways just wondering if anyone has seen these factory wheels before... I havent seen and pictures with them and havent seen them in person. Are they off a newer CTS???? I love em but I cant find em hardly anywhere. Future plans for my car, color matched painted front grille. Borla exhaust system. Staggered Niche concave wheels in Black. 19x10.5 rear 19x9 front. V front and rear bumper and spoiler. Currently I have 245/40r18 Michelin Super sports on it and they are amazing.

Hi I am new to this forum. I have a 2003 mint condition CTS. 89K miles- 1 owner. I absolutely love the ride.

Haven't figured out all the bells and whistles yet. Does anyone know how to set the trip meter?

    Much appreciated.

    Joe

Sorry about the delay. I was out of town. Not staggered. All 20 x 8.5 American Racing AR907. Because the offset is just perfect I was able to fit a set of 245/35/20's on. My old Helo HE851 could only get a 235/30/20 tire on and in Colorado that just doesn't work out. I had road rash inside of 3 months on 2 wheels. Hopefully the extra rubber will help me.

A coworker has a V1 when we went out for a spirited drive in my car he was very surprised by the performance, he was really expecting the 3.6L to be too weak to enjoy.

They're both 3.6's, so I know there's no horsepower difference, but I just want some opinions from people that have driven both. Please help, all opinions are helpful to me. Thanks.

I have just spotted your post and my answer is absolutely. The sport shifter is worth a certain price premium. I really enjoy driving my CTS with the sport shifter especially when I'm shifting the transmission in my own way (lifting throttle in between shifts) gives the car a very manual like driving feel.

I made a video a while back when I was testing the exhaust system I installed, but when I saw your question I was I might as well upload that short clip because I'm manually shifting throughout it.
Note I do have the phone held by hand most of the time near the window so the exhaust sound is clear to me, that's why I'm moving it around during the video it was never intended to be uploaded for people to see.
