It must be the picture, they are chrome. They will be coming off when I get a chance. They are really stuck on there and I'm worried about damaging the paint.

Just realized you weren't talking to me...
Any suggestions on removing the fake fender vents?

Use the same tactics as debadging the car... there are threads on here with full info on how to debadge. Thats basically what you are going to want to follow, especially if they have been on the car for quite a while.

I know there are a few members who like them and like I always say... to each his own. But they do nothing for performance, anyone with a slight knowledge of cars can tell they are fake... and they look a bit Uncle Ben (domestic rice) out on every CTS i've seen.

I'm going to disagree with OD, and vote that you keep them. They look good enough, might not really add anything, but thet don't detract either. Keep them on for a while before making a decision. They've started growing on me already, third or fourth time I've seen the picture.

XRR, Im surprised you like all this of this aftermarket glue on bits, as they will lower the resale value. If someone would cut up the fender, get the vents to sit flush, it wouldnt look like something you buy in line at walmart.
I look at them the same way I look at the aftermarket interior trim pieces. Some of these trim pieces are clearly not cut to fit properly, and therefore look like cheaper aftermarket bits.

If the vents were functional like on the 2ndGen's, they would allow hot air to escape the engine bay. The holes being that small, tho, I doubt theyd make a huge difference when you reallly needed them.

I'm opened minded. I'm not going to diss something just for the fun of it. I don't think they look all that bad. I'd never add them to my car, but the guy shouldn't rush into taking them off, either. Give it while, he might decide he likes them, and its what he likes that matters.

Im as open minded as it gets. Open-mindedness doesnt preclude me from forming an opinion once I have all the relevant information, tho! An older much wiser family friend said to me once "Dont be afraid to entertain someone elses' opinion, and respect them enough to tell them yours."

I don't even like functional fender vents. It ruins the cleanness of the looks. High performance cars need them though. My V certainly could have used fender vents. On summer days, you could see the heat radiating off the front of the car.

Wooha, I’m walking out a store and there is another Cadillac parked next to mine driven by a milf. Some minutes later I see an Escalade coming ahead me. And there is opening a new Cadillac dealer in my area.

    CADILLAC IS TAKING OVER…

Come on what a dumb question... Of course she had an alligator and a hose like all German female Cadillac drivers have.

This is the pic I took when she was coming out the store:

EVen my Camaro doesn't seem to radiate as much heat. Must be something about the V engine bay.
