My stocks are 18", 225/50 R18, but I was told nobody made 18" steelies, and I checked all over. GF works for a dealer and she couldn't get them.
Ended up at Costco & went with 225/55R17's(7.5" wide} to keep the speedo accurate. Funny thing while I was waiting at Costco, I spotted 4 18" steelies on the shelf, lol.

Why waste the money, plastic just gets brittle in the winter. Nobody uses hubcaps anymore, I'm sure you meant wheel covers, Pops.

You kids and your fancy words. Metal wire wheel covers, not Plastic. We had a 65 Corvair coupe with metal wire wheelcovers. They were an expensive option. Had a spare engine in the trunk, too.

Ya and so did an '84 Cutlass, along with every other car that decade. They were heavy & noisy. That wasn't a spare engine, didn't you check under the hood ?

Kids ? Na, I'm older than you. Kid.

Two Corvairs pull into a gas station. One of the drivers opens the hood to check the oil and exclaims "This car hasn't got an engine !"
The other driver says "That's alright, I have a spare in my trunk"

My son took a picture of his bike because he wants to change the blinkers for some reason (??? he is also buying a kit to delete the rear fender??? whatever makes him happy..), noticed the CTS lurking in the background with a nice reflection of the trees shining on the hood - back to pics odthetruth, I will try to stay on track for awhile...(If you look real close you can see the V badge on the side of the 3.6 car - oops, that didn't last too long - just kidding)

The fender eliminator is a common mod on sport bikes.. Its usually the area under the seat that the plate attaches to, then he needs to relocate his plates.
Flushmount lights look much better, make sure he gets good quality ones. They also have a undertail signal, and brake light intergration kit for the cbr600rr...my friend just ordered it, but make sure he keeps the flushmount signals on tied into it otherwise cars next to him can't see the blinker, only the ones behind.

Is his the rr or the f4i? Looks like the f4i seat

Re: Post your best pics of your cts here!

It is the F4i and thanks for the info on some of his "mods", I will most likely be buying the fender kit and blinkers for Christmas, so any other good information you can provide would be great (brand of lights for example)...The thing is a blast to ride, I am really impressed what a 600 can do these days, I have had big cc V-twin bikes my entire life, but this thing is like sitting on a chainsaw...

I really like the amenities of the Mercedes (Sirius radio, Bluetooth, Ipod adapter, tons of controls in the wheel, etc) and it handles like a german car is suppose to which is nice - even though it is an entry level car, I did opt for the bigger motor (268 hp) and the sport package which gives you lower and firmer suspension, performance wise it is a blast to drive. All I have done is add a Sprintbooster to it because they are known for throttle lag – All in all I really like the car so far…

Never really compared it directly to the CTS – I like a lot about that car also as everyone on this site does, it is fun to drive, more plush and “floaty” going down the road, does smokey burnouts no problem, still looks sharp…

I was shopping for a CTS-V for over 6 months and just could not find the right car with low enough miles and in perfect enough condition so decided to go back to a German car (before the CTS I had 3 BMW’s in a row…)
