Kad4Life burns alot of rubber too.

Did you buy your car new ? Mine does the same as yours. I can tell the difference with midgrade though, and I just spin as long as I have to to drive evenly but briskly. I am trying to figure out whether my engine has been worked. If yours was new...it would change my calculations. One day I'll get it on a dynanometer and know exactly what its putting out. I ought to test it on all three grades of gas and see just what's what. Good for my book.

Hi Jim, I bought the car used in May of '10 with 28k on the clock; a former lease car .
    AFAIK it's from-the-factory stock .

    Kad

I had a '67 Sport Fury with the 361 cid 265 brake horse power engine. It was a good 400 lbs heavier and it was speedy enough but can't compare to my CTS. My 74 Satellite Sebring Plus had the 400 4bbl but only put out 235 net horsepower but weighed closer to the CTS and on 14 or 15 inch Radial T/A tires could barely chirp but was quick and fast, I had it over 110 a few times. I hit a collie with the Sport Fury and a deer with the Sebring Plus, end of each for me. I credit each animal with saving my life. Saved me from piling into backups that were ahead of me.

Not really sure about the neo's. I use the 555 on my cars, trucks, and SUV. I like the tread pattern and I have never loss traction in wet or Sry conditions. A google search of the gave mixed reviews of the tire as it did with the 555. It's a crap shoot, find one you like and stock with it. The nt05's got good reviews.

J.W., my tires spin too much. I have half the tread left. Is the Neo Gen known to be slippery ?

Ya... the damage wasn't enough to be a write off. It's been sitting at the shop waiting for parts to come in. I think once I see it fixed up and clean I will love it again.. Just knowing that a junky drove around with it for 3 weeks and ruined it made me really not want it back. I think that'll change once I get to drive it around again. Hopefully....

So you're stuck with your old car back, huh, Roma ? I hope they're able to make you happy with it again.

If you can't handle the memories sell it and buy another one. Its a shame the insurance company didn't give you that option but you have to play with the cards you get dealt. Keep your chin up.

270 hp, but its heavier. From my own experience, it is slower...noticeably slower then a stock 04-07 3.6L. Ive run them next to each other, and the 3.0L seems to be about the same as the 08+ 3.6L LY7 with 263.

Oh thanks, that's a real low quality copy of a huge I-Phone picture. The size and quality limits, I wound up with that tiny thing.
Its the Tampa Seminole Hardrock Hotel and Casino. I'm parked on the roof, the 7th level, of the south parking garage, the casino is out of view on the ground floor between the garage and the hotel lit up in the backround.

Car wise, its a picture of my front bumper showing the thumbtacks covering up the license plate bracket holes.

OK, insult me then. I wondered how or if you could quote just one picture when there were two there.
Forgive me for being vain, but I think my car is more awesome than the horse when I was deciding which you meant.

A definate improvement. I wonder why they didn't mount the bracket there to start with. Have you noticed any whistle from the new plate ? Thumbtacks aren't too obvious, white is hard to work with. In my picture, you can't even pick out the tacks. I'd like to see some black pinstripes now.

Heres a video of my CTS. In the video is also my fiance's brothers Toyota pickup at the beginning.

CTS and old 01 Grand Prix

Sold the Grand Prix to my dad when he wrecked his '97 Camaro Z28 in the snow 6 years ago. Soon he'll be getting a new one. Dad isn't very keen on preventative maintenance... Or maintenance at all!
