Need help..How to install STS door sill plates on a CTS

Just ordered a set of 4 door sill plates (the chrome ones with the Cadillac script) that were originally in an STS. I was told these would fit the CTS, but it seems like the set-up is a bit different. Anyone installed a set of these in their CTS??? How did you do it?? Pictures of how it looks after might be helpful as well. Cant seem to figure out how to do it and keep it looking clean.

I guess my question is...do I just break the 3 tabs off these and 3M tape them in place or is there a more "professional" way of doing it?
