CTS - V Exhaust on a CTS...advantages?
Thinking about getting a more aggressive sound out of my 05 CTS and was told that the factory exhaust of a CTS-V will fit this car with no problems. I've got the Volant intake on already, but not sure if I'm gonna keep it on or not :\ My question is, is there any performance improvement or just sound improvement? How much louder is it really? (not going for obnoxious here). Isn't it larger diameter piping so wouldn't that mean performance gains? Any modifications needed to do this or direct bolt-up? ANY and ALL info regarding this modification is veeeeery much appreciated.
If you happen to have a stock CTS-V exhaust, feel free to PM me as well

Re: CTS - V Exhaust on a CTS...advantages?
performance gains...very little if any
sound...yes it is deeper and in my personal opinion sounds better
direct bolt on...no, you should weld it on from a 2" (CTS) to the 2 1/4" (CTS-V) from the cat...suggested
i have the V exhuast with kook's cats and magnaflow mufflers and absolutely love it. i also have a Volant CAI and i think my car sounds good.~TxBest~
