I'm new to the forum and seek advice on rims that will give my 2005 CTS a more sports car look. If anyone would be so kind to post pics of their cars with the rims suggested that would be a great help because it's easier to make a decision with rims on the car already.
Also i have seen people with clear fogs, if anyone has a link to that DIY thread could you please share? |

Maybe if you go up to the search button and type wheels, you can find pics. |

Also if anyone has a clue i would like to put lowering springs on with 20" rims but i'm afraid i may rub. Does anyone have advice for that? |

You will have to buy some 1/8 lexan and make them your self if you want them. The tricky part is that the lense assembly is curved, so you need some good epoxy to hold the Lexan. It was a project that I did and it takes a lot of time, I did it on a cold weekend. To get the old lens off, you have to put it face down into hot water to soften the glue. It was not hard, it just takes a lot of time.
If you open my photos, there is a picture of them complete. |

There are many websites that allow you to see the wheels on your CTS. Try tirerack.com, les schuab, and America's tire. All three offer that. As far as lowering, you can't go wrong with Eibach. If you look at my set up, that's Eibach's with 20's. Have fun with your mods. BTW - it never rubs. I heard the earlier years may need to have the fender's rolled.

IMO i prefer 18's over 20's on this car 20 are a lil to big, i like the sport look and also the black out look which is pretty much what i did to mine, even had the headlights and brakelights tinted, but since they are illegal had to remove them(Toronto cananda) here are some pics of mine hope it helps, but do what you think will look good man.. after all ITS YOUR CAR!!! lol | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
