Well, when i went to get my x-pipe and Magnaflow dual in/dual out installed, my exhaust guy said that the dual in/dual out was an x-pipe and talked me out of putting the x-pipe on. I always thought that the dual in/dual out was like resonator, am i wrong? So thats why I'm going dual in/dual out to the Thrush mufflers. I'm out to find the perfect exhaust for this car. I'm going to get sound clips of them all. I have a sound clip of the last system i had on, but i have to convert them. That one was real bad, it had glass stuffing in the mufflers which make the car sound ricey.

Re: New exhaust and it sucks so bad

Why did he talk you out of the X-pipe. Most people here prefers that setup over the resonator. The resonator is setup to reduce the loudness of the exhaust because it opens up to let the sound waves cancel out.

Exactly I'm trying to reduce the loudness. X-pipe i hear gives drone and is loud with aftermarket mufflers.

Re: New exhaust and it sucks so bad

When are you doing the exhaust? I should have my mufflers tomorrow and they should be put on within the next few days? I order so much stuff for my car last week. I got the Volant air intake, lower mesh grille, new emblem and black out side markers. Was thinking about doing all LEDS, but thought paying $100 for lights is ridiculous, doesn't mean i'm not gonna do it. I've been on here since July and haven't put any pics, mines just kind of plan right now so it's not much to look at, except with the HIDS on. I'll throw some pics up this week and everyone can tell me what they think. I have no rims yet, but i will be getting them for next year, thought it would be pointless to put them on so late in the season, being in NY and all.

talked to a local shop. they told me that it would cost $200 or more to install. he also told me that there is little difference between aftermarket resonantors and x-pipe. I decided to look somewhere else. I came across a cleansweep and bought that instead of installing the exhaust. I know everyone wants to know how the setup will sound but I have to find another place now.

How much? I am still searching for another place to install the Exhaust. I'll be waiting for your results.

Re: New exhaust and it sucks so bad

Hey, i didn't get it done. The mufflers would have made the car sound louder since they were chambered. I just ordered 2 Magnaflows (magnaflow 11132). I should have them installed next week, depending how long they take to get here. If that doesn't do it i may spring for a Borla system or get a V exhaust. It shouldn't cost much maybe $100 since I'm friends with the guy and constantly tip him. This would also be my 3rd time going back to them in 2 months. I'll keep you posted.

Re: New exhaust and it sucks so bad

I still have the x pipe, i'm not going to use it. I'm going to keep the magnaflow dual in dual out and just added the other 2 magnaflows to that. i'm probably going to sell the x pipe on Ebay. ANYONE WANT IT, $65 WITH FREE SHIPPING.

You guys are joking right? That CTS in the video sounds like shit. It's like a bumble bee on steroids. I'm sorry, you can make the V6 louder but it's not going to sound good.

I agree that it sound like a Muscle car or a V8 but, everyone has their opinion on what works for them. IMHO the exhaust setup on that vid sounds a hell of a lot better than the stock setup.
