One question - with the corsa exhaust, am I looking at 2 seperate resonators under the car or do they reposition the cats to that location? | Not sure what picture you are talking about, cause I'm not sure the pics include the x pipe I added. All I have is the stock Corsa with the maganflow x pipe. I had the resonator cut to add the x pipe. It was a basic swap. Removed the stock exhaust and in with the Corsa |

Removed the stock exhaust and in with the Corsa | I am looking at the 2nd pic in your album - Nothing to do with the X-pipe, So, basically before the rearend, what would be after the X-pipe but before the mufflers, you have two "round mufflers" in your exhaust system that are not in the stock system. I was just wondering if the Corsa system includes moving the Cats all the way back there with high flow Cats? Not sure what else that could be? |

Got the new one ( magna flow dual in/ dual out, straight 2.25 pipes to stainless tips) and its sick. Still loud, but I'm hoping it should tone down a little, i know the previous exhaust did, either that or I'm going deaf because of it. |

I thought that the CTS stock exhaust was 2" Diameter. I am waiting for my mufflers to come so I can install them and my Borla resonator. |

I just called the new shop i moved it to and the line was busy. the total replacement (if needed) will be 800 dollars less than the last shop priced and that includes a more expensive engine (200 more) with a warranty. I am still waiting for an answer.
I also just got the internet set up over here on Monday so i haven't been able to post an update. **Sorry. I hijack this thread***
I know the Magnaflows would have been better but I still don't know how much the car repair is and I was trying to do a Bing cashback thing combined with another site's cashback. I have to get tips for the mufflers now.

I have read several threads where people have ditched their Magnaflows because of the dreaded mid RPM drone, and put on Dynaflows and are much happier. But in this thread, Magnaflow is being referred to as an "upgrade".
The more I search and read, the more confused I get.
I want a nice deep tone, but not at the expense of a drone induced headache on highway trips.
I read on some other forums about Gibson mufflers having a nice deep tone without the mid rpm drone, has anyone tried them on a CTS?
Scoundrel, please comment as to how much drone you get, especially when driving on the highway at steady speed between 2000-3000 rpm, going up an incline or some loaded situation.
I'm still reading and searching, and I'm still confused....
P.S. The Corsa seems to have good reviews wrt drone, but I'm not willing to spend that much. |

Not just a welder that can weld pipes...
It helped for me and I got exactly what I wanted, without going through T&E. |

yes you cannot straight pipe these exausts to a muffler without a resonator or an xpipe.
No cars do that. |
