| Re: 2004 CTS Power Seat Failure check the wires under the seats, there's one power wire that rubs against this metal bracket and the shielding can break, causing the wire to ground out which causes both the seats to stop working. The fuse box under the rear seat also gets pretty hot as stays that way till the grounded wire is fixed.
This happend to me on the drivers side. I took the seat off and taped up the wire, and wrapped some rubber hose around it. Did the same to the passanger side to prevent this from happening there.
