Sorry, have to do a little correction as far as where the 8mm screws are at. The screws are located on the piece of plastic that is covering the windshield and into the engine bay. The cover on the filter is a press fit. There are two tongues, one on each side that you press towards each other to remove the cover.
Oh, and be sure to put your windshield wipers in the up position. It will make the removal of the plastic better.
