New owner - intro and off to do a search

Just bought a 2005 CTS yesterday. Only 35k miles, pearl, tan interior, luxury package. 6CD changer, but not the top line Bose sound/nav system. Car is in immaculate condition. Everything looks brand new; previous owner did a wonderful job with the car.

I'm off to search the forums to figure out the best way to add XM radio to this car. I'm not even sure how to tell if I've got the right wiring, ant., etc. yet. Lots of info to filter through in here.

If any of you have a link to a good thread, article, I'd appreciate you directing me. Guess I can always ask the dealer, also!

First of all, WELCOME to the forum. If you press the selector for AM, FM, FM2, is there an XM there? If so, just have it activated. If not, it may have to be activated by the dealer.

BTW, you get more replys when you name the post more specifically. Like, Need help with XM on an 05.

Thanks for the welcome! One correction, I do not have the 6 disc CD - that was on another car I looked at that I didn't get.

If I can't find what I need searching the forums I'll start a thread.
