wheel and tire weight

has any one done any research on different wheel and tire combos to reduce the rolling mass on cts's. for example do 18" combos weight less than 16" set.I am not trying to go so far as to weight every tire and wheel but find out which set 16 ,17, 18 ,19 20 tends to be less mass.

Re: wheel and tire weight

I am trying to find if I change wheel sizes if I am adding or reducing weight to my car.

Re: wheel and tire weight

Larger wheels and tires typically weigh more. The aftermarket 20's on my Avalanche weigh much more than the stock 17's did.
