power steering?

Remove this ad
so i was driving down the road when a dog jumps out of nowhere. i swerved hard to dodge it and had to swerve back to dodge oncoming traffic, and now my steering wheel doesnt want to turn. when on the gas pedal, it turns more easily but still not as normal.

a friend of mine took a look and found my power steering fluid gone from the reservoir and fluid dripping everywhere. he poured in more steering fluid and it turned brown, probably not good. he thinks something happened with the steering column, any suggestions?

Re: power steering?

wow I can't believe no one chimed in and helped. Anyway the steering column has nothing to do with the fluid. Now what this sounds like is a busted fluid line did your friend check out where the leak was coming from?

Well, hopefully it's already fixed since that original post was in June.
