Re: Thread for DIY mods

He did do a good writeup.. It is kind of everywhere though.. I am Begginner so I wouldnt be able to do it.. But thought that www.macvroom.com going with a mini mac would be easier for the begginners here.. I really would like to know how to do this and would love to learn but the writeup is for advanced not really begginner.. Awsome writeup though! One day..One day!

Re: Thread for DIY mods

I was thinking about the carputer but decided I was too lazy. In my research, I found a few good sites and write-ups:
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mattbai/procedure.htm

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...uter-done.html

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...r-project.html

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/

mp3car has everything you will ever need to know about building and installing a carputer, and even has some good deals in thier store. They even have downloads for frontend software to run on your carputer and the folks there will help you get custom splash screens and backgrounds. Not to mention they are full of "experts" that are more than willing to help you if you have questions, just like this site. If I wasn't sooooo lazy I would have done this months ago. Maybe if I ever go on disability or get fired.

Re: Thread for DIY mods

I would love to do it to the CTS. Since there is so much dead space right there in the middle of the radio (if you remove the cd changer that I almost never use)

I am just spending too much money on the V right now

I was gonna make you a offer you couldn't refuse but you said it was a cd changer not a NAV unit.
