I keep up on oil changes, have to change out the tranny fluid (the life meter says 48% though)
check the spark plugs, maybe replace the wires.
Its been a great car so far. I think the problem year was the 03's. The 04 and up seem to be good.
The engine still pulls hard, the tranny has nice crisp shifts.
I still get on average (highway and traffic) 25 mpg. |

If u have the stock airbox, lift it out and see if it seals properly on the air filter element.
You will being losing power soon if it does not seal as it should.
MANY 3.6 CTS's (like my 2004) have this problem.
Good luck on your next 100k miles. |

What wires ?? I believe on these cars, coils are connected directly to the plugs. |

A lot of the stuff listed on the 100k mile check up I can do myself. The things I can't I certainly will have checked out.
The spark plugs are all in great condition, I am going to flush the coolant system, bleed and replace the brake fluid, top off the power steering fluid, and I always keep the chasis lubed.
I do know that my gas filter is overdue for a change and I really need a new cabin filter.
