    Frenchie owner (new pics)

    Hi everybody,
    Back to the forum,
Here are some new pics of this very rare vehicle in France, you can certeinly see some differences from your models in US.
The mirrors are electrics but we have different standards here as the turns signals, mirrors, seat belts etc...
In my engine, there is a E85 item which allows me to fill my tank with ethanol gas (0.83€/l) unleaded gas is here at 1.20€/l
You must be surprised but we are been used...
If someone know where I coul buy the defectuous joint in my driver door, tell me (If it's not too difficult to change...)
Thanks a lot fot your advices
If you need other pics, let me know !

Anthony--do you mean the molding in the door frame? I don't know how difficult it would be to replace. Very interesting to see the differences in your car.

I heard the Euro HID headlights are self-leveling. Can you confirm?

    Hi,
    Yes they are !
When you turn on the key, the headlights moves from down to up slowly and adpat themselves to the optimal level if you have rear passengers or luggages...
    I hope you understand me...

    Hello,
Those AV hookups under the armrest are built by cadillac. You can plug anything you want and you see it in the screen, very easily.
If you need more information, I'll be happy to give them to you.
I think that if we have those hookups here in France, you should easily connect them to your own CTS. Probably Cadillac let a cable behind the navigation system to plug yourself no ??

Thank you for the word "molding in the door frame". I have the sentence to search in internet. Those technical words are very difficult for me. (Simple words are difficult too... I know...)
As I'll come to Orlando in two weeks, I'll go to a cadillac retailer to find this "molding" and take it back home in my suitcase. I'll take pictures to be sure for the model.
If anyone know any good dealer in Orlando, give me an adress to go there !! (I take Tomtom with me and the usa map...)
This forum is very cool !!!!

Anthony, I think its called weatherstrip door opng, Body Side part number 88983968 (in 2003-2004).

You can call a dealer and ask for the name of the part w/strip door body side with your VIN number. the part number I gave you was in the year of 2003-2004. Maybe the part number changed since then!

And if you're not sure, I can translate in french.

I would get that part ordered into a deal ahead of time. That way it will be there!

^^ Spyke's correct, Anthony. I was wrong saying "molding"...the parts dept. would probably think you wanted body side molding for the side of the car. Sorry!!

Thank you so much everybody !!!
    This forum is great !!
If you weren't there, I couldn't buy and fix my CTS...
I try to buy a dvd with the repair manual (24$) includind shipping.
As there are no dealers here, I hope it will helps a garage to eventually fix problems in my CTS.
But I forgot... CTS never go to garage, they are perfect !!!
