I am thinking of buying this 07 Cts Sport- need help???

This is warranty/ vin check info I have received so far- I would like to know if there is special code for Bose stereo and if this vehicle has it. Also I have seen other 07 CTS sports with the mesh grille insert and this vehicle has the code, but in Sale pictures I do not see mesh- I am curious if there was a repair... this vehicle does have some type of inflatable restraint warranty work also- I need help before I buy

I can tell you about the suppression module...and that's the module that sits under the passenger seat, and it was probably faulty giving the 'Service Airbag Soon' message on the DIC. Lots of folks here have had the same thing fixed under warranty...I actually just had mine replaced not too long ago at about 46k miles. That's really no big deal.....they just replace the entire module under the passenger seat b/c it's shorted out, or broken.

Wouldn't worry too much about that line item.......

The rear diff. got replaced as well...so that's good....I really don't know if that was a 2007 problem...apparently that particular one had the problem of it leaking, so they fixed it....

Car looks pretty much normal...regular maintenanced stuff they've listed.

The mesh I have no idea about..lol

The 'mesh' most likely refers to the sport grill. It will be body color, and its a 2 piece grill. The inner part is chromed mesh. Its hard to tell from your description if you are familiar with the sport grill specifically, or if youve just seen other CTS with mesh grills, like the V grill, for example.

The base stereo is fine. The BOSE stereo is only slightly better (mostly because of the dash center speaker) and much harder to upgrade.

Looks to be fully loaded except for NAV. I can't think of any option it doesn't have...

Thanks guys for your help so far- I am very familiar with the sport grill, it has the steel mesh behind the body color grill- however this car does not have the mesh in the pics- and it shows it in the code list.

Please clarify- if the regular stereo sounds good or excellent- I understand the Bose is a little better, but would it be foolish to pass on this car over the stereo?

Does the car have the spoiler,sport side skirts and exhuast tips? ? If it does, and it doesnt have the grill, Id be worried the car might have been in a collision.

The BOSE is a little better, yes. But IIRC, the speakers are all the same. The difference is that the BOSE adds a front center speaker and a 6 disc cd changer. But its also really hard to upgrade, i think each of the speakers are powered. The base stereo is much easier to upgrade. Hopefully some guys on here will explain why, as Im not a stereo guy, Im just going by what Ive read.

My car is identical, except my paint is Blue Chip. I just added some Infiniti speakers and a sub and it sounds better then the BOSE, imo.

It looks like they just replaced the seal on the rear differential, not the whole differential. I would watch for whinning in the rearend. I had my seal replaced also then about 5000 miles later the noise got worse and they finally replaced the whole rearend.
