Exclamation 05 computer glitch

From a previous post; I am starting a new thread because it has gotten much worse, and the dealership fails to assist. ... first the sunroof opens and closes on its' own. It will not close in the close position, and when it does, it will start opening and closing the vent, dozens of times in rapid succession. ... I will be driving along, anywhere from 35-65mph and the Nav screen says service engine
soon, then the car acts likes it's slammed into Traction control, it stops accelerating, slows down but rpms remain high; it's like the drivetrain is disconnected. I will pull over and turn off the engine start it right back up, and except for the instrument panel engine light now being lit, runs like normal. Prior to these symptoms and the car shutting down, I would get a message on the nav screen "Service Stability System", then I would get on the instrument panel the Traction Control OFF light, the air bag light, the ABS light and the stability light on. Again, it would go away just by turning off the key. By the way, it certainly did and you could tell that it did shut off the stability system, the abs braking and the T/C...
I found a recall notice on the computer but my dealership has said BOTH that my VIN did not qualify, and it was done before I purchased the car; huh, which one? Also they say it is impossible for this to be happening, since there is no computer record (codes) of it occuring. Ok, if it is the computer wouldn't it make sense that it may not be recording incidences/codes correctly? By the way, now that my car is out of warranty, they have found an issue that will cost $750.00; it was a grinding noise that turns out to be the hub. Now my dealership has a very high customer satisfaction index, but I am very frustrated. This is a very dangerous issue; since the car will just stop accelerating with out warning, I can't confidently on ramp to a highway, and since it makes the car go from 75 mmph to 30 rapidly without brake lights, I could be rear ended. So I understand the recall. Thoughts?

Re: 05 computer glitch

The sunroof is a totally separate issue unrelated to the EMS. It has been reported many times on this forum as a bad sunroof control switch. The Engine problems sound like a bad ground somewhere around the EMS. Throubles with "Service Stability System" have been reported to be related to the steering position sensor. The noisy hub may be related to the ABS and TC lights because there is a speed sensor in the hub.

Re: 05 computer glitch

The sunroof switch had been replaced, less than 1 year ago. The dealership is saying I now need to replace my left front hub, to the tune of $800.00. The engine stall does match a recall, but they say my VIN does not qualify, or it was already done(?); they can't decide which.
