    Warranty question

When did the 5yr/100,000 warranty go into effect?

What was the warranty for the 04?

    also for the 05?

This may effect our decision on which year we buy.
    Thanks

    Re: Warranty question

I can't answer your question, but you should also pay attention to some cars that are "Cadillac Certified" and carry a 5yr/100k warranty which in some cases may be more warranty than the car came with.

I believe the "Certified" cars are six-year 100,000 mile warranty. Otherwise the factory warranty is 4 year 50,000 miles

    Re: Warranty question

If you purchase a vehicle not from a Cadillac dealer, can you purchase the extended warranty(6 year/100k) from Cadillac? I'm assuming that they would have to take a look at it and verify that it's available for the extended warranty(ie. no accidents or frame damage and such). Thanks.

2007+ cars have an extended powertrain warranty - 5 year 100,000 miles .
