New audio addition(thump in the trunk)

recently installed 2 10" jl audio 3w3 subs, replacing the bose factory sub.
added a kicker 750.1 mono amp, stinger 1 farad cap, and bassworks sealed box. sounds real nice and more than enough bass for my taste, definitely better than the so called bose sub.
i dynamatted the trunk, removed the stock sub an matted the rear deck, big improvment in bass and rattles.
i found another use for my rear strut brace, strapped the sub box to it, that sucker ain't going anywhere. nice to have the option to still easliy remove the box. not sure if i will ever do a custom trunk box seeing as i have fold down seats and still wouldn't mind carrying a spare tire.
i went with dual 10s instead of dual 12s to save space and reduce weight, pretty happy with my choice. its enogh bass to give me a headache, and not be able to see out my rear view mirror

When installing the pac converter to give you RCA outs from the bose sub did you just install that in the trunk?

Oh, I thought you installed it yourself, sorry.

Does anyone know if you could just run the PAC converter from the wires going directly into the sub to save from having to pull out stuff from the dash..

i did the dynamatt and removal of the stock sub after they installed, just never ran across the converter on my travels. makes me think they put it from the head unit.

Yeah I want to avoid having to pull stuff out from behind my nav, would much rather keep all the modding in the trunk.

the only way to have control over the bass is to either put it in from the sub with a bass knob on the amp or do it from the front and connect the bass control wire to the one up front at the head unit
