How do I know if my CTS is sport model?

I have the S button by my shifter and always thought it was the sport model. 17" stock rims, what are some other indications. I was just going through my files and found the carfax from when I purchased the car and I see no indication of it being a sport. Are there any other ways to tell?

check the lid on your spare tire for options. Sounds like you have it.

Otherwise go to the cts-v forum and request your VIN run.

Sounds like you do too. The sport models also have stability control, and the wood grain shifter/ wheel.

    Wrong...

The Lux/Sport, and the Luxury trims are the ones with the Woodgrain package, otherwise i believe it would have had to been a special option. Depending on the year, the Sport model would have Stabilitrack. and remember there is a difference between a CTS with the sport package and a CTS Sport (which has the unique grill, rims, and a spoiler, and exhaust tips)

Yeah, you can have the Sport Package and not have the Sport Appearance Package.

If i remember correctly, if you have rims that are 17"+ you have a sport package. Unless someone else put them on there before you got the car.

17" Rims were an option on Luxury packaged vehicles as well as the Lux/Sport which it came standard on.

mine has everything ya'll are talking about. It's an 05 cts 3.6L, woodgrain steering wheel, woodgrain gear shifter, s button, another button above that one at the top of the shifter, 17" wheels, HID, rear sproiler, dual exhaust and does ride kinda rough..lol. so is that the lux/sport? or sport package?

I would say you have the sport/luxuary package. I had the exact same car and it was a sprt/lux.

ALL AUTOMATIC CTS's through 2005, before the shifter change had the sport shift button. It wasn't an option, it didn't come with any package. It was standard. So was the "Bad Weather Traction" button. The little snowflake above the shifter. After the shifter change in 2006, they had the auto-stick function which rendered the "sport shifting useless"

I thought so, but didn't think to comment on it.

yeah i think the 17 inch wheels are a give away and my sport/lux(Confirmed through VIN run) has the steering wheel and shifter wood grain.
