Question general setup question for staggered wheel set up & Lowering

I have a 07 cts. My questions are what sizes would be best for rims.
I seem to think i should run a 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. I want to fill the width of the body from a rear view but still clear fenders. My next question does anyone have this staggered setup? I also want some good input as far as using a lowering kit. will lowering work and retain the stock ride quality? I want to avoid make costly mistakes. Ican picture my car with a wider back tire with a sorta deep dish maybe 3" deep with a stance of the front slighty lower than the rear just enough drop to improve wheel well fillment. any pics would be helpful in my decsion making. thank you for the support!!!

It won't be bad though. It will be stiffer, but not uncomfortable. You could also see that as an improvement. It's just what is more important for you.

It will be an improvement in performance, but not in ride quality.

Ride quality for a race driver is different as for a road floater...
Some like it soft, some like it hard.

So it is up to you to decide what you want.

I was just assuming he was not a race driver.
