    Exclamation Volant Intake 05 Question..

    Do they make a model for the 2.8L? Or would the 3.6L be the same application?

    I don't have either motor, but the 2.8 is a smaller stroke/bore version of the 3.6. One would assume the intake tube is identical, and therefore the Volant for a 3.6 would be plug and play. Look at your motor and compare it to pictures under the hood of a 3.6 to be sure. Basically, you transfer your MAF to the new airbox and swap them. The intake tube is a nice to have, but you could use your existing one in a pinch with little effect.

    FYI, the airbox is identical between the 3.6 and even the Opel derived 3.2 motor. It's the plastic intake tubes that vary. The 3.2 was only used for 2 years, and is a completely different motor.
