Does your car have the XM antenna on the roof? If so, your car is XM capable & the iPod adapter plugs into the XM modulator that is on the drivers side of the rear deck. I just installed the USA SPEC GM PA11-Vette kit in my 04 (Non-nav Bose) and I love it! It was simple and only took me about 45 minutes. The only thing that sucks is the adaptor only works 100% as advertised for certain iPod firmware editions. I have a new Nano that comes with version 1.1.2, but the adaptor is designed to work with 1.1.1. What this means is I can control everything from the iPod & charge the iPod, & I can change songs from the steering wheel, but I can't change playlists from the steering wheel (from the iPod yes, steering wheel no) and it doesn't display the song title on the radio screen. It says "iPod". That said, I still love it! I haven't listened to a CD or the radio once since I installed it!
Now my wife has an older Nano that has version 1.1.1 & hers will show the track title & let her jump between her top 5 playlists from the steering wheel. Not really a huge concern for me. I'm just glad I can charge the iPod & get CD quality sound from all my songs. Best mod to my car yet!
There's actually a write up on installing one of these kits here >

There's also some info you might find useful here >

And I'd be more than willing to help in any way.
