E&G Classics Mesh Upper Grille installed - need some help on lower

Hello Friends,

I put the E&G Classics Mesh Upper grille on my car last weekend - what do you think?

Is it true I need to remove the bumper to get the lower grille on? Seems like a pain in the ass.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Anyone? The instructions for the lower grille say to drill holes in the bumper. I cant help but think that some 3M Double sided tape would make this much easier.

Pick. The lower grille is very easy to install...10 minutes tops. You should drill 2 small holes in the lower grille opening so you can insert the metal tabs from the E&G lower grille. Very easy to do. Just use caution so you don't scratch the surrounding bumper. You should not be drilling any holes in the bumper! I have the same grille on my 05 CTS. It took me maybe an hour to install the whole thing...

You have to remove the front license plate assembly too, right?

I installed my lower grille, and i drilled no holes at all. just folded the metal tabs on the left and right into the fender well behind the black plactic the runs the length of the opening for the lower grille. 6 months later, multiple car washes and road trips, no issues.

Did you remove the front license plate bracket?

I have no license plate up front, but if yours obstructs the lower grille recessed area then yeah remove it. If where you live requires no plate the ditch the plate altogether!

Pick. Sorry for the delay. No, I did not remove it. I just cut the part of plastic that was obstructing me from installing the lower grille. Very simple.
