Got my Pre-owned CTS (finally)

Well... I finally got my CTS. (2003) 3.2L

It’s not the silver one I said I was going to get... I went and saw that one close up today... and it was an off lease fully loaded CTS, with low miles... but the guy who had it totally beat the heck out of the car... all the rotors were warped and gouged, all the rims were bent and gouged and cracked. The oil was pitch black... as if it had not been changed in almost 10k miles. There was wood stain and paint all over the leather interior... the Bose speakers were all messed up... and that’s just the short list of things wrong with that one. Oy!

So... *drives off to another Cadillac Dealership* I found this one... Raven Black... two-tone leather int. and 5 speed manual tranny.... I test drove it... and was hooked again on the manual transmission. Its in really great shape and has not been beat at all... the previous owner really babied this thing. As you can see... its has the V-Series Grill, & rear wedge wing (not really a wing per say) and the 17in wheels I wanted. Bose system with the 6disc in dash changer, sunroof, HID lights with the really cool light washing system that pops out and sprays (very cool!) lol.


The Guys at Boucher Caddy in Racine, WI. were super nice and I have never had a better car buying experience in my life. (Some of you may remember my age discrimintion thread I posted a while back, with a different dealership giving me crap ..ugh..) Anyway... they lost my sale..lol Ha!

All in all... I got a great deal... and will put up more pics later when I get some free time.

Looks nice Also nice to see someone that lives around me...I am in Gurnee. That V-Grill just looks to damn sweet. Now you just need to turn your single exhaust into dual outlets. Car Boutique in Wheeling has done this on a few 03 CTS's. This is where I had my 04 Borla Exhaust tips put on.

Thanks... I used to live over in Antioch, and still go up in your neck of the woods to visit friends and stuff on the weekends. (I am in Chicago most of the week though).

How much does this Place in Wheeling Charge?

Also looking at tinting the rear passenger windows (70-75% dark), and the rear window to 80%. I had this done to my Altima it and looked really sharp. Would the dark tint on this car be overkill, ya think?

Hey, your car looks great! My wife and I bought a certified pre-owned CTS ourselves, also a 2003 3.2 manual, and equipped nearly identically as your own (sans the V grille). We are very happy with the car so far, and while part of me wishes we waited for the upcoming 3.6-6 speed combo, I also realize that we would have had to spend A LOT more money going that route. Plus, I really like the looks of the polished 17 inch wheels they used only on the 03s, and heck, I even like the smoked rear bezel (our car is onyx blue, and I think its sets the back of the car off nice, a la the XLR). I WOULD like to put duals on the car, however. Anyway, best of luck with your. And if you don't mind, maybe you could pm me so we can compare what we paid (he he...maybe I don't wanna know!).

I don't know how much they would charge for the cut on the body for the second exhaust tip. I was talking to the manager before I had my tips put on and he told me about the modification that was done on the 2003 model. He said that it looked really good. Your CTS looks great> I like the Raven Black on any Cadillac. I would have the windows tinted, not just for looks but to keep the car cooler in the summer
