Does anybody have some suggestions on how to use a floor jack and jack stands? I have the Helm manual, but the drawings are not that clear.
I have only done the front end so far. First, I drive up on some 2x10 boards. That allows enough height for my floor jack to slide under the front bumper. Then, I put a piece of 2x4 on the floor jack pad. I place the floor jack under the center of the engine front crossmember frame. I lift it and put jack stands under frame rail reinforcements. Is this correct? See the attached picture.

I don't really know what the book is trying to say about the back jack stand placement. It says the floor jack should "Position the floor jack under the...rear frame rail at the rear axle cradle mount flanges". For jack stands it says "Position the jack stand under the frame rail reinforcements."
See my attached pictures. It seems that I could use the floor jack on either the cradle frame (blue arrow) or under the spring (red arrow). Probably under the spring would be better? It seem like I could put a 2x4 at the location of the green arrow and place the jack stand under that. I think that hole was made for jack pucks.
