    I think the V has a 8.5" wide wheel with a 51mm offset which is 2" inches.
So if you got the same 2" offset then the 1" extra width would go towards the fender.
If I am wrong about the 2" offset then forget everything I just said. LOL.

i may need aftermarket shocks and springs for my non-sport cts. Does anyone make after market shocks and matching springs yet?

Re: 19"x8.5" for rears on cts

The V is 8.5" with 42mm offset. As long as you are around 40mm offset you'll be just fine. I'm running 19x8 on 40mm ofset and my rears still have plenty of room - I'd actually like to stick them out a little more, as they are about 1" in...

Just get the V suspension! And pick up some Eibachs or Intrax springs...

Jeez, I need to have my eyes checked. I thought you said a 9.5" wide wheel.
Maybe I should just delete all of my posts in this thread.

Not to nit-pick, but it you keep the same offset, and increase a wheel by 1", the wheel increases .5" in and .5" out. The offset is the distance the mounting surface is from the *center* of the wheel, therefore an change of the wheel based on that center is equal in both directions, if the offset stays the same.

Go 19x8 or 8.5, run around 40mm offset, and use 245/40R19 tires and you should be perfect, especially if you add some suspension to it...

Wait, you indicate "19 x 8.5 for REARS"...What are you planning on the front?

    miscreant,

    You are absolutely correct.
I was thinking backspacing, not offset.
Maybe I WILL delete ALL of my posts in this thread,
since I contributed absolutley nothing to the
    discussion. :drinker

By the way since you know the offset of the V wheel do you know the
    offset of the SRX wheel?
I would really like to put some V takeoffs on my SRX.

I'll try to find out tomorrow. We have some take-offs back in service....

    i may just go 19" x 8.5" all around.
high polished 547r with clear coat.

    edit: shouldn't it be 245/35?

IMHO, 245/35 tires look tiny (lots of fender gap). Remember that Lund uses 245/35 on their 20" wheels (not 19")!

I'm running 245/40R19s and there is still alot of room in the back (which will be eaten up when I throw the Intrax springs on...
