I have been using this oil for 2 years now and I guess my question is should I keep using this oil or try the penezoil brand? Any info would be great thx a lot! |

And most racing teams. |

I'm sure GM used Mobil 1 because they got the best deal on it. Amsoil, Redline, etc are other alternatives, but cost twice as much as Mobil 1.
Here is a chart that's biased towards Amsoil, since it's from their site: |

I used Mobil 1 for the first oil change that I did........just because....but I 'personally' don't think it really makes THAT much difference...as long as you're using A synthetic oil..it's going to do it's job like it should..........
But..that's just me.... |

GM also says Charmin is the best toilet paper do you use that to……oil is oil is oil makes no difference so my grand pappy tells me…change it 3 times a month and don’t worried about it |

Like said above, unless you notice problems with the car, Id see no need to switch to a pure synthetic. The extra cost might not be worth it. |

There was a story out of Canada a few years ago when a guy had his Chevy pickup run 1,000,000 km's (about 600,000 miles), with orignal motor, tranny, etc. Only the usual wear items were replaced. The engine was still fine at that point, as well, but GM bought it back from him and gave him a new truck.
His trick? He changed his oil every friday and left his vehicle running all day long in the winter, instead on constantly stopping and starting it (I forget his job, but it required his to turn his engine on/off continuosly.) |

and
According to the SAE. It is infact no a good idea to change oil to soon as it will increase engine wear on the motor. That document is paid for though |
