Smile Been a minute new set-up in progress Turbo 3.2

Whats going on people I see there alot of new faces , and a few of the old ones. Well after careful planning decided to try a turbo system now to see how it works with the 3.2 motor. Supercharger still working running at a safe 8 psi. Waiting for the universal turbo kit From STS turbo to come in , and let hacking and work begin.

Plan on running a rear mounted turbo , but going to keep the exisisting set-up from the intercooler to the motor that way the fuel management system would not be touch or untune the extra injectors till i get it to the dyno for some runs ,and properly tune the injectors.

Wanted to let everyone know it should be here by Wed, and will keep people posted with kodaks and all. Later

yea johnny i bet you'll drive down here just need to get your IS running ::cough::cough:: get to work.

Cadillackid i think this set-up is going to be able to work for both cars , hell might be easier for the 3.6l guys because you guys have a tune progam. the 3.2L guys will have to buy a Fmu , or some form of fuel management.

Just because it states its a rear mounted turbo doesnt mean it has to be. Im trying to see is maybe i can stuff that in a front inner fender, and use the cts-v brake duct as some form of ram air intake.
The kit should be at my shop by Wed the latest , then the fun fun begin

Re: Been a minute new set-up in progress Turbo 3.2

i've debated contacting them for a while now since they were mentioned here a long time ago, just wasnt too fond of a turbo mounted so far from the engine itself, like the exhaust mounted system ... i bet the lag would be ridiculous ...

btw ... there have been many talks of turbos before but nothing solid ... hopefully this can thread can stay active and updated, i know there are plenty of us who want to go faster!

Re: Been a minute new set-up in progress Turbo 3.2

Yea I've heard that before when people wanted a supercharger , decided to build one up , but no 3.2L guys seemed interested. SO decided to do it for myself. Same thing with the turbo kit . Im going to fab it up , and help whoever else wants to join "the few, the proud, the tcc" ... ahaha just saw a marine commercial, and wanted to throw that in. Ill keep ya'll posted should be in by Wed. take to the muffler shop guy to find a locating to bolt this , and get the bends to the piping done. hopefully I'll have it up ,and running by friday. By that time ill post some pics up of the progress.

Does everyone still use photobucket to upload there photos here , ran into some problems with uploads from photobucket awhile back. that way uploading pics would be a breeeze. later
