Ya that looks like the same kit I have still
In the box, except my center consol has one big
One that would cover the whole area around the shifter

I like it on the steering wheel but around the
Cd player it just seems too much, and the problem
With the 03 grey dash is it is kinda a rubber
Painted dash that scratches and peels easily so
If you put it on it may ruin it if you try to take
It off ever.
My steering wheel on the plastic by the swc button 1
It is wearing out cuz that's where my thumb sits all the
Time and the previous owner did too. So the wood would
Cover that. I've also been thinking about just taking it
Appart, then sand prime and spray it to a grey that matches.

What I would really like to do tho is have all the tan in
my car blacked out but I would need a doner car
Or someone willing to trade..its just not worth the $ to do it

Re: thoughts on woodgrain dash/doors/center consol kits

I put brushed stainless in my V (to try and match the steering wheel) and now I am sorry I did. It just looks tacky to me now. I am considering removing it. I did get the big-ass pieces that you stick on the doors, which I do still like. It's just that all the different pieces on the center stack just don't line up perfectly. And it's too bright. The opposite of the too dark i was trying to cover in my all back interior.

I didn't even know it wasn't factory until it got hit and they had to replace trim around the door handles. For what it is, it really looks better in person and up close and is durable as hell.
