Looks good man...I kinda want to do this also. Its either buy E&G upper and lower mesh grill or get the whole front set up. Anybody know any good websites i can order the complete front cts-v bumper and upper and lower grill?

Re: Front V bumper & New fog lights

Believe it or not, everything I needed for the conversion I bought off ebay over the past 4 or 5 months, with the exception of the wiring harness.

I just made a list and watched E-bay like a hawk.

Re: Front V bumper & New fog lights

Not sure if anyone is on this forum still.... but I'l give it a shot.

    Just purchased a 05 CTS (Pic 1)

    1. I want to change the lower bumper to the V with the clear fog lights.
    2. Take the chrome upper metal piece off and change to black
    3. black upper grill with no Cadillac icon.

What is the best way of doing this? Trying to keep it inexpensive but not make it unsafe or look gaudypicccccccccc.jpgpicccccccccc.jpg

If you want the V lower grille you will have to change out the whole bumper. The other items you mentioned can be painted or plasti dipped.

Yea you can do just what J W said. Plasti dip works great but you're gonna get a matte finish black unless you order their glossifier online which will give it a more glossy look. I used it on my OEM grill and stock 16s before I put my 20s on. Or you can use regular paint.
You could also buy an aftermarket grill on ebay, believe they have mesh and OEM also may have a billet one in black but not 100%
Here is a link for a black mesh: they have a bunch of different vendors for that one

I would post a pic of how mine came out but can't upload on my phone because dimensions are too big. Ill make a thread later on how they came out.

CTSLAC and J W THANK YOU!

I am going to buy a 05 V lower bumper, get a aftermarket stainless grill and get that and the front lip piece painted to match the car.

ccostaras, I have a grille setup similar to what you are looking for I believe. I got my grille (Upper & Lower) on ebay for about $150.

The chrome strip was painted at my local paint shop while they were doing something else for no charge, I'm sure your local shop would charge you very little if you brought it in.

I still have to do the clear fogs myself...

ccostaras, your inbox has met its limit so I will post this here...

I am also going to put the emblem on this summer once I take it off my old grille and get it painted. The chrome strip I brought into my local paint shop and let them hang on to it as they were going to do a black car and he actually did it for free. Doing that for free wound up bringing my later insurance claim there later, but I don't think you'd get charged much. It's just bolted on from the inside of the hood so it comes off in 5 minutes.

As for the grilles (Upper and Lower) you're in luck I just found it on ebay for only $100 shipped, prices have dropped over a couple years ha. When you get it, it will look too small for the upper insert, especially with your hood open. If you position it right and have someone install it with you it'll look great finished. The link shows the not-painted strip so you can see how bad it needs to be done ha.

I'm still debating on how I'm going to go with clear fogs or black them out, I want it done just haven't found a clear/direct solution I want to go with. Let me know what you do.

Does the bumper have to be off to put the fog lights?
