HID Harness question

Hey everyone, Has anyone ever used a HID harness with a relay, instead of a direct connect harness. Im scared that the direct connect harness will cause problems and I would rather connect directly to the battery. Has anyone hooked up a kit this way and if so, does it create problems with the car popping off errors or the auto headlight system not working correctly??? Thanks

It depends on how the kit was designed, some kits are plug and play, some need that relay harness or they wont get enough power, I've seen both. Both worked great when hooked up properly.
