Re: No Signal to Radio?

the antenna cable exits the center console on the passenger side. peer up there for a thick-ish black cable and see what you can see. as you did already, ensure its "snaped" on the back window

Re: No Signal to Radio?

I was under the impression that on a 2003-2005ish that the antenna was actually located on the front windshield. My 2004 has it on the passenger side of the windshield.

Re: No Signal to Radio?

Digging up an old thread, but I never found anything resolved here....

I have an 03 as well, antenna plugged into the front windscreen well. Snap is secure. I took the radio out and checked the connection on the back, it is ok, also checked the splice behind the climate control. It was good and clean as well... Someone know if there is a booster in between somewher, or is my radio just going out? If I bang on the center console, it comes back in sometimes...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: No Signal to Radio?

There are some fuses under the back seat on the passenger side that may control the amp that is in the trunk, I'd check those fuses as well.

So you get no reception what so ever? If that is the case something is broken on the antenna. Do you have a portable TV antenna in the house? Pull the radio out and plug another antenna in, it should pick something up. If it doesn't the problem is in the radio. If it does, then the problem is between the radio and antenna.

this thread was started about a year ago, he obviously fixed his problem and never stated that or he is just dealing with it...i would assume the ladder of the two

Re: No Signal to Radio?

I just dug up this thread with the same problem. The old one never had a solution.

I will try the other antenna method, but I couldn't get it to go out with the radio out of the dash....

Re: No Signal to Radio?

Yeah, that is the road I am headed down now... I got it out and unplugged the antenna, it worked a little, then went out completely. I banged it and it came back in. I hate to pay $150 for a used one, but I don't want to give up the DIC or steering wheel controls.

Ebay it is. Thanks for the tip on the scanner. Will the car still run without the VIN? Dealer owes me a favor, I can just run it by..

Re: No Signal to Radio?

I put one in from an 04 CTS same plugs just did not have the Cassette player. And you will probably will have to use the old faceplate so the color matches
