Got an air box mod idea.

Ok guys, as many of you know, I have a V bumper. I dont have the brake ducts hooked up.

Basically, I was going to run ducting from the brake ducts up to my Volant air-box to get more cool air into the engine. If I do this, what are the chances of getting water into the engine?

Re: Got an air box mod idea.

in what? a lake?

the only way to get water into the engine is if you pipe this like a snorkel directly to the throttle body. you are just going to direct the flow up to the box which would act as a "burper" to keep the water from coming any farther up the air tract. and that is still "worst case" scenario.

Oh man we have had it bad also. This is the most snow we have had in 8 years.

LOL!! Hopefully, just a couple of weeks. Then i can do all my mods, take the car in for the new rims, shocks, sways, eibach kit, and tires. Then, a full Zaino!

Re: Got an air box mod idea.

You guys and your mods. I finally broke down and ordered tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3), Eibach sways, and a Volant cai. The car is going in at the end of the month for a custom exhuast. Maybe, just maybe, I could drive to Big3 this summer and get a tune.

You guys gotta stop pushing these drugs...

Nick, youre a Zaino guy eh? Z8 is about my favorite product out right now and Ive used EVERYTHING, no exxageration. Z8 is a seriously great product, I hope youve got it!
