    245/30/20 VS 245/35/20 Tires

I'm just wondering why so many people here run the 245/35/20 tires when that size is a 3.78% difference than the stock wheel diameter. The 245/30/20 is only a 0.16% difference. Is it because the cost of the 35 series used to be a alot less and people just continue to use this size, or is it because they think that the .47" sidewall height difference makes a difference in the ride? It just seems to me that for the speedo, the abs sensors, and traction control you'd want to stay as close to the stock diameter as possible, and use the 30 series.

but people care more about the ride and the protection of there wheels. thats why they use 35 profile tires.

I've had 35 series tires in the past and i cannot see 30 series being any rougher or giving anymore protection against road hazzards than a 35 series. They're both a rough ride, and you hit a pothole with either and you're screwed!

Anyone who has 30 series have an opinion?

    Anyone had both?
