    Car is going "Clunk Clunk"

front driver wheel is sounding like a bad ball joint. its raining like hell right now so i'll have to check it later. does anyone know if you have to replace the entire assembly or just the affected part? also does anyone know where i can find the parts? i been looking everywhere. im sure if i take it to the dealership it will be as high as girfaffe cooter to fix. so i would rather do it myself.
    any help is much appreciated.
    thanks, Marcus

Re: Car is going "Clunk Clunk"

I did not see a year or milage of your car in your profile. I take it is it out of the 4 year or 50k warranty?

I looked at partsamerica.com and rockauto.com and did not see any ball joints and/or control arms.

I am not sure on the CTS but i know a lot of cars now the BJ is part of the control arm and can;t be replaced without replacing the shole control arm. That and I have not had a chance to do any real work on a CTS, nto even mine yet, so i am not sure what setup it uses. But because Caddy gives a longer warranty then most and the cars are not really that old the parts would probable have to come from a dealer and/or junk yard.
