my fogs and turn signal..I bought silcon rather than the epoxy..
i was told that silicone seals and is heat & water proof.. so i went with the silicone..
i'm not sure if that was a wise choice...
also..not sure if i should put led turn signals...I'm not sure what kind of clips to buy..
I'd highly appreciate any feedback..thanks in advance |

I used only a 5 minute epoxy from home depot....but after you get it all held together, some silicon over the whole thing might not be too bad.....I just put a second layer of epoxy of the dried epoxy to ensure a dry seal....Layer it on good and you wont have any issues |

You might want to paint the grey plastic too before you epoxy the lens cover on the sidemarkers. I painted mine silver, I have a white diamond. It is a big huge pain in the ass and you will no doubt be anxious looking at the half disassembled front end of your car, but the payoff is worth it. It looks SO CLEAN when its all done! Good Luck! |

| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): Cadillac | | | | | Re: Will install Ww kit tomorrow oh, and I would ADVISE you to let the foglights cure (clamped) OVERNIGHT. I know the epoxy says 5 minutes, but... I let the first one cure for about 3 hours and started removing the clamps and "pop" the whole thing just came right off. The other thing I would advise you to do is to put a thick, solid coating of epoxy all the way from the housing of the foglight assembly around to the edge of the plexiglass and onto the front of the plexi so that when it cures it "holds on" to the plexiglass. Just get up early in the morning and put it all back together - should take you about 45 minutes max. Also, you might want to cover the plexi with plastic film while you reinstall them and then remove the film just before you bolt them back in (to protect from any scratches while you get them in position) |

and i shall put them back together tomorrow morning..
i had some issues...first..the metal divider, between the fogs n the daylights..
seemed to stick out too much..for me to continue the project...
what i did, i removed the center divider..and with a Saw, i cut about half an inch off...
just enough for me to be able to place the plexiglass over it...
i have various pic...but will have them all up tomorrow... |

Some tin snips would be pretty valuable there, I ended up using a jigsaw with a metal blade - but it was a PAIN IN THE ASS because of the vibration and the clamping issues! I was worried about the finish but it looks great - no one looks that closely at your fog light trust me (not even you after a few days) |

it looks great..it was well worth it..i added some things tho.
i add four little screws intended for Plexiglas in each corner..
you can never be to secure..also..the fogs have a little bracket that goes over the bulb..so it wont be too bright.. i intentionally broke the brackets off the fog light..so my light can shine brighter..hahah.
I'm just uploading some pics now. |
