I have not gotten an updated DVD for that Nav system since I bought the car. I checked GMNAVDISC.com. They want $199.00 for a 2008 DVD. But get this, 2006 and 2007 owners get 2 free upgrades, but no free upgrades for us 2005 owners. $199 seems a bit speep, since I already spent $1,500 to get it factory installed. Where can i get a cheaper disc? |

I called the GM Nav center and also called the 1-800 cadillac service center number to verify the cost. Seems like the 05 CTS owners are out of luck and we have to pay to the upgraded disk. Anyone interested in selling upgraded disks for 05 owners by burning yours? let me know. |

Garmin charges $78 for theirs, and the first one after purchase of a unit is free. Their program is so much more accurate, up-to-date, and so VERY MUCH easier to use. I wrote a letter to Cadillac about the faults of their Nav Disc program, and got two call-back from Customer Service. But they said that they can't do anything - the Nav Disc department has no way for inputting comments, suggestions or complaints from outside the Nav Disc department , even from the Customer Service people. |

I'm in the same boat...it's nice to ave the system but for us '05 cts owners, i haven't been able to find one either. S/o gave me a copy of '08 Escalade but it didn't work either. Anybody having any luck...at a point of buying the garmin which is cheaper, mobile and extremely accurate. That's a negative to purchase navigation with a cadillac if they can't provide a reasonable price for the upgrade. |

Is RaiderLuv asking if disks differ between different Cadillac models or differ between CTS model years? That makes a big difference. I can't imagine that GM makes a different disk for every model year CTS when they update map data every year. You would think that an update disk would work in any year CTS. |

I have the factory disc for sale which is one version before the most current disc. To mods: Apologies for the link if it's not allowed in the forum, but it seems some people need this disc and I'm attempting to help. This is not a copy of the disc. I have it listed for $55 shipped but will entertain reasonable offers (no low ballers please). |

If the 2008 disc does not work in my 2004 nav I want to know before I shell out 200 bucks for CHEAP data that SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN NORMAL UPDATES ANYWAY! |

Call 877-NAV-DISC (this is the phone number for GMNAVDISC.com and tell them your VIN number- they will be able to tell you what disc you need (but they will charge the $199 for it). They should be liable/ allow a return if they sell you something that won't work in your nav.
