UUC Slotted/Drilled Rotors Vs. R1 Concepts

Remove this ad
Hello everyone

I am in need for some rotors. I recently found out about the UUC rotors and did my research and it was a pretty good deal. Then I also read about the R1 concept rotors and found out that they are good too. There is no warrenty on these rotors so would it be better to go with the less expensive ones?

I am 95% in the process (waiting for next paycheck ) of buying the UUC rotors with HPS pads before actually going through with it. I just want to know what you guys think about these rotors and any last words of about them.

Thank you for you opinion

Re: UUC Slotted/Drilled Rotors Vs. R1 Concepts

You get what you pay for. Lindsay Cadillac is a vendor here and they got UUC to develop the rotors just for us.

I track the CTS at autocross and lapping days. The improvement in stopping power is unbelievable. I can tell you that they are great on the street, and high performance driving. If it can undergo such high speed and constant braking, it'll be excellent on the street.

R1s may be cheaper but there is a price difference for a reason; just like there is a price difference between cars.

Lindsay and UUC rock.

I am happy with my Rotors but I have the Hawk pads now and they are top shelf.

I just installed the UUC rotors and Hawk pads from Lindsay Cadillac last night and they are great. Plus the customer service from Luke was top notch.

BAER Makes 14" rotors for the CTS. Requires 18" wheels or bigger for Caliper clearance.

I had a set but never weighed them. They come with adaptors so the calipers clear the higher 14" rotors. They are expensive.

If they're around 1500 give or take, that would be fine. Id expect to pay 6 or 700 for rotors and another 200-250 for pads. A kit from BAER id expect to be more, should be great quality too.

How'd you find them? Was it worth the money spent to you?

It's about $2000 for larger BAER Front calipers, 4 adaptors and 4 14" Rotors plus the cost of Hawk ceramic pads. A lot more $$ than Luke's setup.
