Headlight outer coating wearing off - anyone know cheap replacement?

Hey-

My Passenger side headlight, is becoming ..."oxidized?" or something, but the outer coating is wearing off, and looks bad -

Anyone have /know where to find and inexpensive replacement?

you will have to replace the entire headlight and that is not cheap. you can try ebay

some compound, cotton rag, and some muscle strength. Cheap ,saves , and gives you some time untill you want to buy a new set

thanks 03, I'll give that a try - my brother in law had some success with his 93 Mustang headlights that did the same thing, so, I may give it a shot - - - if that doesn't do it, I think I'll also ebay it and see what I find -

If your car is still under warranty, take it in. I had mine replaced, no questions asked, under warranty a few months back. Acid rain/pollutants...

Be careful on ebay. Those things are expensive used too.

Mine were replaced on my 04 by my dealer at no charge. Put a new headlight in each side.

shot of clear coat should do the trick too, see if an autobody shop will do em for ya.

How old is your car? I am just wondering what timeline you are working with so I can judge how long mine will last? You live kind of near me so maybe mine will start to do the same thing?
