Banging noise passenger side

Has anyone experienced a metallic banging noise from the passenger seat, or passenger side when going over sucessive road bumps? Does not happen all the time.
Any suggestions? 06 CTS 2.8 Auto 25K mi

Similarly, mine has a constant rattle that occurs on any bump from the front passenger side. I assume that it started off only audible on large bumps, but now has progressed to any tiny little bump in the road.

My guess is a bad strut mount.

My 03 had the same noise, strut rubber went bad. Dealer replaced under warrenty

The dealer's had my 03 since wednesday morning for I believe a similar sound plus a squeaking noise every time I pressed on the brakes. They said they're still waiting on parts but didnt specify what. I'll let you know what they did whenever I get it back.

Lowest bid on parts. My Taurus (94) had plastic sway bar extensions. They wore out in 24k miles. Warranty.
Part rattled like crazy prior to repair.

Well I guess if thats really the case, they're probably losing everything they saved by cheaping out on parts and spending it on enterprise rental cars for when I bring my car in for waranty service. Thank you GM certified pre-owned waranty, I'm enjoying the 08 CTS this week!

I think I know what you're talking about since I had a metallic squeaking noise from both front doors… almost went crazy figuring out the source until one day I was laying on my door and there it was…

Make long story short check the door lock holder not sure what it called (look attached picture).. Try lubricating this and hopefully it will fix the problem. I had mine replaced under warranty …

** Before lubricating try shaking the part if you hear the squeaking sound then bingo…

I got my car back today, it turns out both of the sounds i was hearing were associated with an "internal failure of the left front brake caliper" so they replaced it. Man i hated having to give that 08 back.

Tightened and lubricated door strikes. Banging still occuring over some road bumps. Seems to be comming from the area of the passenger seat (manual Seat). I checked the mounting bolts they seem to be secure. Any Ideas
