I have vibrations in my steering wheel and seat between 50 and 75 Mph. Up to know the workshop has not found a solution: - my 20" rims have been balanced 4 times
- I got 4 new tires
- having the same issue with my stock rims and summer tires
- steering rods have been replaced
- wheel bearings in the front have been replaced
- brake disks in the front have been replaced
Now the workshop ordered new shafts for the rear end. See what that will bring... anyone got other ideas? http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...hronicles.html |

In this case it is a bad thing that everyone at the workshop knows me and the car. Every time I pick up the car, they ask me if the car is that bad. Actually I am very disappointed that it takes so long for them to find a solution. They could've run it on an all wheel balancing machine to find the source of the vibration, but noooo.... |

Plus we adapt very well. Makes us world wide successfull negotiators. At least we never needed to make a war to achieve business (though we fought back when needed).
Sidetracked...
Anyway, I will keep you posted about the vibration 'issue' |

They will replace the propeller shaft. They will also put my winter tires under the car and my burned out left brake light will be replaced.
If the propeller shaft was not the source of the vibrations, I will have no more ideas left. Probably I will ask them to get their balancing machine checked... |

The dealer has tightened up everything and balancing etc. I guess over the years I've learned to deal with it. I don't hear the vibrations, I just see it in my peripheral..My fix was to pull the chair back and recline the seat a little above the "gangsta lean" position lol, so I can't see the back of the chair or the headrest. When I have a passenger, there is no vibration at all...I've given up over the years of fixing it, but if they come up with one, let me know...I'm curious... |

Actually, here in the US it is more commonly referred to as the drive-shaft. It transfers the power from the engine through the transmission to the differential... |
