Um... that wouldn't work so well with a stick shift... hence the parking brake theory (disproved).

I'll go out on a limb and bet that if you were to do the parking brake method which you disproved in conjunction with the VSS line method that I posted in another thread, you'd be in luck. This would, of course, only be for the manual tranny. Automatic is "Prindle" (PRNDL) method I'd guess.

But each of the navigation systems use slightly different methods from each other. Try the above for your manual by putting a simple switch on the speed signal line to the back of the navigation unit and also doing the engaged parking brake trick.

    Clintonwmills,

You are a genius! I just tried it on my '04 3.6 auto, and it works!!!!So simple, push 2 buttons. All these poor people who have taken apart their Navi systems and their center consoles for naught.

I hope the old adage of 'Be careful of what you wish for, because you might get it', doesn't come to haunt me as I watch the Rolling Stone concert now, not just listen to it as I drive. But I love it
