| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): 2007 CTS | | | | | Ordered my sports grille On Tuesday from http://gmotors.com. Will be in Illinois next week and will pick up an exhaust tip from PEP boys.
Spoiler is on schedule for November / December. Was going to buy wheels before Christmas but the wife says we need a new bed. Not going to argue because once the bed arrives she cant complain she will have what she wanted and its my turn. Whoever told me to get rid of my visa when I got my car is right.
I am still trying to decide on a set of wheels. Can't decide whether I am going to go 17 inch or 18 inch. Its really been a battle on deciding.
Anyone think 17's are better than 18's. Been told with 18's you give up the good ride and have to be really careful with poyholes and uneven road. Anyone help on pros and cons of 17's and 18's |

I didn't anyways. A lot of people with 20s say they don't notice a difference. I've hit some pretty good pot holes & haven't had any issues. There's still plenty of sidewall. I say go with 18s for sure! |

Go with the 18s, they look better, especially if you get ones that don't have a flange. 17s with a flange look tiny lol.

The flange... It's like a lip. Here are the 17s that I used to have on the CTS. Notice the little flange/flip around the outside of the rim? It's where the little weight (the one they use to balance the wheel) sits.
NOw take a look at the 18s that I have on the CTS now. No flange/lip
The wheel looks smaller when it has that little lip.
BTW. Got your email. What colour is your car? Do you have a pic? Going to add you to the members list. |
