I took the V out once and was having issues hooking. I didn't run into much wheel hop, as much as I did just wheel spin. High 13s is what I averaged the whole night at 108, 109. I did have 1 abysmal 14.7 @ 103 I believe. That was pre-mods though. I haven't taken it since my boltons/tune setup.
With the V6, I would just ease it off the line, no torque braking. I found I had issues with hooking if I did that.
My first run in the V was 14.5. From a roll. I was babying it since I was 400 miles from home. It's not easy to get a good time if you aren't willing to break something.
I was able to get 32 in the 3.6 doing 60mph for about 120miles one time. I was amazed..Had just changed the air filter before that. Haven't even got close to that now..of course I don't drive long trips at 60mph in florida lol. I get bout 23-24 doing 80mph.
thanks.
ive got her up to about 800 rounds already lol
tomorrow im going to run the hell out of her again. my buddy is waiting to see how it compares to his that cost 7x as much....
Also spent half the day yesterday driving around without the snow mode on
First day of snow driving with the CTS (and driving a RWD car for that matter) was awesome!
LoL ok...most fun but easiest to loose control of if you don't know what you are doing (and actually even if you do know what you are doing.)
Although, handbrake drifting is easy in a fwd car..I mastered the 180 ebrake to paralell parking in the bottom section of my driveway when I had a rental jetta wolfsberg 1.8t. (Don't buy a rental..ever) I smacked the rear bumper off the electrical, phone and cable boxes that were @ the bottom of my driveway a few times...neighbors lost cable once...then everyone got unfiltered cable after that (100 chamnels for the price of basic 30...)

^yes. Even if you are seasoned veteran, it's very easy to lose control of a powerful rear driver. You stand a much better chance of regaining it, but it's best to never lose control in the first place.
Correct, I didn't want all black caps which is why I planned on getting the V caps since they are black background but the emblem is fully colored. Also managed to loose 1-2 of the caps while driving
So as of now it's still sitting at my grandmas since I went to put the donut on an my tire iron is missing -_-
Got home by driving my grandpas STS (love driving that thing)
I'm stuck between 2 choices.
1. Put the donut on until I can buy new tires.
2. Get some Slime tire repair an run on the current tire.
Now I know I didn't run over anything an the air leaked around the bead. The tire was in need of air an I neglected it (stupid mistake) I figure I can just put some slime in it to help seal the bead.
The tire lost the air as I was making a right turn into my grandmas neighborhood. I figure the low pressure plus the tire flexing allowed the tire to move enough that the remaining air escaped.
The tire could be ruined if it got that low and you continued to drive on it.
Another case of neglecting something small & costing more in the long run.
Got new front tires
Also got my engine mount today and I'm going to install it. Any tips?
Doing my breaks tomorrow an lucky me I get free breaks now as long as I have the car!
On my drive to work, I did what I normally do... started merging onto the highway in 2nd gear at around 40mph, and gassed it hard and hit 3rd and got a little sideways on the highway. Once I did this, I noticed behind me was a CTS, who was speeding now to catch up. I gunned it a few cars ahead and let off and cruised in 6th, letting him catch up. Once we got where the overpass is, I dropped it down to 3rd at 60, and gunned it again, lettin it echo nice and loud next to him. I slowed up once more, laughing, and he pulled up next to me and said 'The Best, The best!' and gave me a thumbs up. I was laughin and gave him a thumbs up.
It'd be funny if he was on the forums here.
