Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

this thread is awesome... they can probably start deleting earlier posts... its goint to get long with me and you wacked out on meds chatting out pain, hot tubs, cars, and semi-legal mods lol

im thinking when the time comes will just unbolt them, clear them out then bolt them back on. most exhaust shops wont do a cat delete unless its a track car only and even then you have to tow it in and out... such a pain...

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

The pills don't whack me out, the darn things don't even kill the pain. I think they only get you high if you aren't already in pain. I don't know how the kids do it or why. They don't do a thing for me funwise.

They won't delete anything unless it breaks the rules, but I said it at the gitgo, erase them after a week and save the storage space.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

Makes me think about what would be ideal for me, although that setup is versatile. A single stream of pressurized water about the size of a quarter would work for me.

Rolls this is what I was talking about

I'm on my blackbery, can't post the image file...ill fix it when I get home.
But this si the showerhead I told you about. I want it!

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

My method is be a man, let the spring shoot where you point it!
Just kidding...don't do that....well I have done that before...and ya it works...but not recomended.

I'm on eibach pro kit, shorter springs, less pressure. I used a spring compressor to take oem springs out a year ago..but didn't need it to put the eibachs in.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

The first suspension job I did I didn't have a spring compressor, so I took a angle grinder to the springs and cut through the coils till they were flopping around then took off the bolt on the top.

Next 1 I just slowly loosened it till it popped, had the back against a rock and took the top off, the spring didn't really shoot, but it jumped a little.

The 1 after that I used a spring compressor...much less scary.
Only reason I didn't rent the spring compressor yesterday is because I put them on so I knew how little pressure they are under.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

That one looks like maybe it slips over the showerhead pipe and hangs against the wall, easily removable, and you just attach the water inlet in one place there near the bottom. Not very sturdy. I've got to do something more about my pain, my neurologist wants a second opinion from a pain management specialist. I think I'm getting better, I just push the limits as much as I can doing stuff. Cleaning up after the dying dog is detrimental to my health, but its either kill the dog or be patient.

im having a hard time finding a bike... all the used ones are either listed over what new ones cost, or they have been dropped.
the only ones that i have found that are priced properly are sold before i even get there.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

damn! hope you are alright TX.
i just got another insurance quote, for some reason i didnt think of checking with my current insurance company untill today.
well on a harley sportster 1200 its only $78/month and i would get 25% off my car insurance....so... ide basically only be paying a extra $30/month or so to ride a 2007 harley!
now to just find a bike! i was looking at the 883 iron but hard to find... with the 1200 i can get one cheaper because no one buys them, they all get the 883 for "cheaper insurance" but my current insurer says anything over 700cc is the same rate for cruisers....kinda awesome!

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

i will be alright...got some road rash that burns like hell but it will all eventually go away. y'alls insurance rates up there are ridiculous bro, i pay $76 for an entire year...if i decide to get back on a bike, i may get on a cruiser instead of a street bike again

damn... good rates there... we get scammed on everything here.

my insurance company just called me back... now get this...
i useto have my m2 but it expired..i didnt renew it because i didnt have a bike, so i have to start from scratch again with m1 (learners permit...just a written test.)
to get your m2 you need to have a bike that is insured to take the road test with the ministry or sign up for a $500 3 day course which i dont have time for.(thats what i did last time, it also gives you a certificate they claim gets you cheaper rates... lies... but overall i did learn a lot in the course, it was valuable to new riders)

now my insurance company wont cover me with my m1, and i cant take ownership of a bike in canada without insurance and at least a m1...
so this is becoming a PITA just to get the insurance..
good thing is when my broker called back he said $500/yr so its cheaper than what he first said... and i get the 25% off my car..

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

i had to retake a motorcycle safety course myself to start riding again because the military required it. although i didnt have to pay for the course because i was forced to take it, it did help me with my old bad habits. mike you may think you dont have time for it, but if you want to ride make time...your life is more valuable than being lazy about a simple course

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

its not about being lazy. course is fri, sat, sun. i work every other weekend. the 2 weekends per month i have off i try to go to the cottage, if i cant its because of a family event usually. add in that i have to make it out to my club 12x this year to get my full membership so i can use the range alone then take the RSO (range safety officer) course.
i do want to take a intermediate course though. the basics i have down. its all about speeding up, stopping on a turn, using the clutch with 1st gear and do a controlled figure-8 through pylons. also all this stuff ill be doing in a parking lot to practice on my own as soon as i get the bike sorted out....good thing is im not in a rush.

what kinda bike do you ride?

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

We get raped on Ins.,Gas & Hydro, but we have free health care.
Good thing, too because when you open the bills, it damn near gives you heart failure.................lol
well i still get free medical care because i am active duty military...but when retire i will have to start paying for it

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

I racked up $500,000 worth of medical bills in four months. There went my new Rolls.
damn....or a house.

just found a 07 sportster.. has 20km on it and its a little overpriced but im going to try to get them down.
i think they are adding more to the asking price because it has one of the detachable trunks, aftermarket cruser seat, highway bars, forward controls.
the only thing it has extra i want is the highway bars.
and for the mileage, it isnt ideal, but im planning to put the 1200 bore kit over the winter. so that replaces the pistons, cans and heads, just change out the seals at the same time and its basically a full rebuild.
fingers crossed they have it and will sell for 5 grand. (asking 6)

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

Whatever, its a crazy idea you ought to just drop. Traffic is so congested here riding a bike is a suicide wish.
i appreciate your concern, honestly i do. a bike is something ive wanted a long time. probably wont ride much, but ill be able to say i did it.
customizing a bike is going to be a lot of fun...and expensive.
not much traffic here. there are a few bad spots, but i dont go there often. and the way to my friends houses i can take side roads.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

I sure don't wish you any harm, I just think you need to be in perfect physical health to ride a cycle safely. What happens when you turn the wheel and your back freezes up ? Off the road you go. You know your health better than anyone, but don't bite off more than you can chew. Can't you rent one or borrow one ? An ad in the paper Wanted-motorcycle for two weeks.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

i looked at renting, did some quick math and renting for 4 weeks would be about the cost of buying a bike.(4 weeks because rain happens and wont be able to ride every day)
http://gtaexotics.ca/dev/motorcycles.html
they want:
$600/week for the bike = 4 weeks $2400
$44/day insurance = 4 weeks (28 days) $1232
$3000 deposit (ive heard usually you dont get all of it back no matter what, but we will assume nothing was damaged and i get it all back)
so thats $3632 + 13% hst (tax) = $4104.16

if i spend 5 grand on a bike and sell it im only out the taxes and my insurance. i have a DOT and Snell approved helmet, Kevlar and gell gloves, icon boots and armored joe rocket jacket with elbow, shoulder and spine protector. so its just the bike that i have to pay for.
i also have access to leg guards that fit under your pants.
im probably buying the icon armored leather vest with no logos.
